The Fresque of the Library Gabrielle-Roy (350, St-Joseph est)
(rue du Roi) Inaugurated in 2003, the Fresque of the library Gabrielle-Roy is located on the wall of the library overlooking onto the "rue du Roi". The fresque was created by Murale Création to highlight the 20 years of the library Gabrielle-Roy. With a dimension of 600m2, she tells the literature landmarks along with the history of the public libraries of Quebec City from the XIXth to the XXth century. Its content is in relation with the cultural, architectural and human Quebec environment since it's supported by 20 quotations from yesterday and today literature works describing Quebec over the years.
Les Fresques des piliers
The Fresques des piliers are next to the boulevard Charest Est, near the extremity of the street St-Joseph in Saint Roch's neighborhood. These "fresques" of Quebec City begun in the summer 2000 and contributed to the embellishment of an amazing urban site in Quebec. The names of the Fresques des pilliers are as followed: La Cathédrale et Le fond marin, Le Conte et La Porte du paradis, l'Horloge, Hommage aux cirques québécois et Le Temple multicultural.
The sqaure of St-Roch Church

(590, rue Saint-Joseph Est) The church Saint-Roch is located on the street Saint-Joseph Est. After the revitalization of the street Saint Joseph Est and the demolition of the old city center mail, the restoration of the Saint-Roch Church and its square are part of a vast project reviving an urban neighbourhood. Since 2001, Saint-Roch Church and its square welcome multiple community and artistic activities of several concerts, from the Festival des musiques sacrées de Québec and the Quebec City Summer Festival.

Saint-Roch D’Or
The CHALLENGE is officially on!!!! As one of the three Saint-Joseph in Lights festivities, a canoe race will be held on the commercial street of Saint-Joseph right in the heart of Québec City. Organized by the city centre development corporation, this memorable event is slated for just before the Québec Winter Carnival in February.

Toy Parade on Saint-Joseph Street

Jazz Festival of Québec
For its third year, the Jazz Festival of Québec is the most important jazz event east of Montreal presenting 70 shows, regrouping more than 200 artists from here, Canada, United States and Brazil. There will by 13 places where you can enjoy some jazz music. Nomad jazz, fusion jazz, bossa nova, new jazz, here is a programming which will know how to please the experts as well as the beginners. Staring: McCoy Tyner, Eliane Elias, Les Frère Ferré, Lorraine Desmarais, Vincent Gagnon, André Leroux, Jessica Vigneault, David Binney with Brian Blade and several others. Jazz everywhere and for all!

In town without my car! On St-Joseph's street
Enjoy St-Joseph's street which will be a car free zone from 6:00am to 3:30 pm between the streets la Couronne and St-Dominique. Everybody is invited to take part in the many activities(starting at 10:30) throughout the day : free show of THE LOST FINGERS (12:00pm), urban workout (12:00pm to 1:00pm), information stands, basketball, bike zone, draw me a street and much more.

September Fest Saint-Roch
This year’s summer tourist season will be brought to a close with a spectacular event. Dining enthusiasts eager for terraces to open on Rue Parvis in summer will be pleased to learn that everybody will have the opportunity to get together for a memorable wind-up held in an urban setting. September Fest Saint-Roch (a spin-off of the official opening of terraces in June) will take place at the corner of Mgr Gauvreau and Saint-Joseph on September 17, 2009. Enjoy an enchanting evening of outdoor dining with different artists for the first edition of this event. Postponed to september 18, 24 ou 25 in case of rain.
